The Challenge

Kapawi Ecolodge sits deep in the Ecuadorian Amazon, accessible only by bush plane. This indigenous-owned ecolodge needed content that could communicate the transformative nature of the experience — the jungle, the wildlife, the culture, the remoteness — to travelers willing to venture off the beaten path. Their existing content was limited and didn't convey the emotional depth of a visit.

Our Approach

Getting to Kapawi required a flight to a dirt airstrip followed by a canoe journey downriver. We spent five days on property, waking before dawn to capture sunrise over the jungle canopy and staying out after dark to photograph the nighttime experience. We documented everything — the wildlife, the guided excursions, the community interactions, the food, and the accommodations — with a focus on storytelling that would resonate with eco-conscious luxury travelers.

The Deliverables

180+ edited photographs, a 2-minute brand film, drone footage of the jungle and river systems, and social content packages. Content was delivered to both the ecolodge and their partner tourism board with full commercial rights.
